Overview
AKUSENSE W Series High Flex Fiber Optic Units are flexible fiber heads built for applications where the cable is repeatedly bent or routed through moving machinery. A multi-core construction (2 emitter + 2 receiver up to 4 emitter + 4 receiver) and an ultra-small bend radius of 4mm resist metal-fatigue breakage that shortens the life of standard fibers. Both diffuse (PD) and through-beam (PT) versions are offered, in Ø1.5 / Ø3.0mm round tubes and M3 / M4 threaded bodies. SUS or nickel-plated brass head with PE jacket, field-cuttable. Pairs with AKUSENSE PE1/PE2 fiber amplifiers. Sample test and bulk procurement are supported.

How to Select
- Choose sensing method
Diffuse (PD) for one-sided sensing; through-beam (PT) when both sides are accessible. - Select mounting size
Match the tube diameter (Ø1.5 / Ø3.0) or thread (M3 / M4) to your mounting hole; choose the space-saving right-angle (PT-W57UF) for tight spots. - Confirm bend radius
4mm high-flex version for dynamic bending; 10mm version for fixed routing. - Pair with a fiber amplifier
Use AKUSENSE PE1 (standard) or PE2 (high-speed, IO-Link) series fiber amplifier.
