Overview
AKUSENSE 32-DQ/SQ Series Side View Fiber Optic Units are fiber sensing heads whose light exits at 90° to the fiber cable axis, so they detect the side edge of a workpiece or a web entering from the side rather than looking straight ahead. Built on a Ø2.5~Ø3.0mm stainless steel body with a 15mm long convex tube, they are offered as diffuse (PD-32-DQ / PD-32-SQ) and through-beam (PT-32-DQ / PT-32-SQ) versions. The through-beam PT-32-SQ uses a 1-emitter + 7-receiver arrangement for stable side detection. SUS head with PE jacket, field-cuttable, 2m cable. Pairs with AKUSENSE PE1/PE2 fiber amplifiers. Sample test and bulk procurement are supported.

How to Select
- Choose sensing method
Diffuse (PD) for one-sided side detection; through-beam (PT) when emitter and receiver can be placed across the side gap. - Select bend radius version
DQ (25mm bend radius) or SQ (10mm bend radius) according to cable routing flexibility needed. - Confirm body size
Ø3.0mm standard; PT-32-SQ is Ø2.5mm with 1 emitter + 7 receivers. - Pair with a fiber amplifier
Use AKUSENSE PE1 (standard) or PE2 (high-speed, IO-Link) series fiber amplifier.
