Overview
AKUSENSE F-UA Series Space Saving Fiber Optic Units are compact, flat/slim fiber sensing heads designed for installations where a standard round fiber cannot fit. With an ultra-small 2mm bending radius they route easily through tight gaps, and are offered as diffuse (PD-F4xUA) and through-beam (PT-F5xUA / PT-FZ8) heads. Emitter and receiver are built into a slim body; min. detectable object goes down to Ø0.05mm on the diffuse models. SUS or aluminum sensing head with PE jacket, field-cuttable, 1m or 2m cable. Pairs with AKUSENSE PE1/PE2 fiber amplifiers. Sample test and bulk procurement are supported.

How to Select
- Choose sensing method
Diffuse (PD) for one-sided mounting; through-beam (PT) when both sides are accessible for higher reliability. - Select head orientation
Right-angle for compact installations; straight when axial mounting is preferred. - Select cable length
1m or 2m according to the distance to the fiber amplifier. - Match min. detectable object
Diffuse models detect down to Ø0.05mm; through-beam models from Ø0.2~1.0mm. - Pair with a fiber amplifier
Use AKUSENSE PE1 (standard) or PE2 (high-speed, IO-Link) series fiber amplifier.
