Overview

AKUSENSE AR3 Series Solenoid Guard‑Locking Safety Interlock Switch is built for machine safety‑guard door protection. This guard‑locking type safety switch keeps protective doors locked while hazardous machine motion persists, preventing personnel from entering dangerous work zones. It features high >1300 N locking force (Fzh), forced‑guided slow‑action safety contacts and optional DC24V / AC110V solenoid voltage. Two locking schemes are available: Power‑to‑Release (mechanically locked, electromagnetic release) and Power‑to‑Lock (electromagnetic locking, mechanical release). The PA66 flame‑retardant housing carries IP67 protection, with metal or plastic mounting brackets, M16 / M20 connector options, front or rear actuator entry, and a wide choice of slow‑action NC/NO contact combinations. Widely used on machine tools, packaging equipment and automotive production lines. Sample test and bulk procurement are supported.

Key Features

  • >1300N High Locking Force (Fzh) — high holding force resists forced opening of safety guard doors, meeting guard‑locking application requirements
  • Solenoid Guard‑Locking Design — two principles: Power‑to‑Release (spring‑locked, energize to unlock) and Power‑to‑Lock (energize to lock, mechanical release)
  • DC24V / AC110V Solenoid Options — match different machine control systems
  • Forced‑Guided Slow‑Action Contacts — positively driven contacts for reliable safety‑circuit performance
  • Actuator Key Options — straight key supplied as standard; angled and adjustable keys available on request
  • Flexible Mounting — metal or plastic bracket, 4 directions selectable, front or rear actuator entry
  • IP67 Industrial Protection — dust‑tight and water‑resistant for harsh workshop environments
  • Green LED Indicator — clear on‑site status indication
  • Long Service Life — mechanical ≥1,000,000 cycles; electrical ≥150,000 cycles

Applications

  • Machine tool safety guard door interlock
  • Packaging and printing machinery guarding
  • Automotive production line safety
  • Automated assembly equipment access protection
  • Conveyor and material‑handling safety doors
  • Robot cell perimeter guarding

How to Select

  1. Choose locking principle by safety risk
Power‑to‑Release (spring‑locked, energize to unlock): keeps the door locked even on power loss, for high‑risk machinery.
Power‑to‑Lock (energize to lock, mechanical release): for general automation equipment.
  2. Select solenoid voltage
DC24V suits most modern machine control systems; AC110V for legacy AC solenoid supply.
  3. Select actuator key
Straight key is standard; angled and adjustable keys are available for special mounting geometry — please contact us.
  4. Choose mounting bracket
Metal bracket for heavy‑duty use; plastic bracket for general‑purpose automation.
  5. Confirm actuator entry and connector
Front or rear entry; M20 connector is standard, M16 for compact space.
  6. Match contact configuration
Select the NC/NO slow‑action combination that fits your safety‑circuit design.
